Overview:
As a Real Estate Closing Paralegal, you will play a pivotal role in the real estate transactions process, ensuring smooth and legally compliant property transfers. Your responsibilities will involve supporting attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders throughout the closing process, from contract to closing. Attention to detail, legal knowledge, and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and Review of Closing Documents: Draft, review, and organize a variety of legal documents necessary for real estate transactions, including purchase agreements, deeds, mortgages, and closing statements. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documents.
  • Title Package Preparation: Coordinate with title companies, lenders, and other parties to resolve any issues.
  • Coordination of Closing Process: Schedule and facilitate real estate closings, coordinating with buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, and other parties involved in the transaction. Prepare closing packages and ensure all necessary documents are signed and executed according to legal requirements.
  • Financial Transactions: Calculate closing costs, prepare Closing Disclosures, and Balancing the CD.
  • Client Communication and Support: Providing clients updates on the status of their transactions, answering questions, and addressing concerns throughout the closing process. Maintain professional and responsive communication to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a real estate paralegal or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate law, title examination, and closing procedures.
  • Proficiency in legal research, document drafting, and case management software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and ethical standards in legal practice.
